Our Family Legacy
Briggs Roofing & Construction was founded in 1988 by Wood and Diane Briggs. In addition to building the company, Wood served as a North Carolina Highway Patrol officer for more than 30 years. He operated the roofing business as a side project until retiring from the patrol in September 1993, when he began running Briggs Roofing & Construction full time.
Wood’s son, Phillip Briggs, joined the family business in 1998. Phillip later followed in his father’s footsteps by becoming a North Carolina State Highway Patrolman. In 2004, the company was passed to Wood’s youngest son, David Briggs, who continues to lead the business today. Through each generation, the Briggs family has remained committed to hard work, honesty, and dependable service.
